John Hollingsworth is a native of Jacksonville, FL, and grew up training in dance in a variety of styles such as ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop. He is an adjudicator with Inspire National Dance Competition and recently graduated from Florida State University, earning a BS in Hospitality Management and Tourism with a minor in Business. Throughout high school, John studied as one of the first apprentices of DanceLook LLC. guest taught for 1Vibe Dance under the direction of Jen Colvin and trained at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. John has taught on Faculty and as a Guest for I-Move U-Move, Dance with Jax LLC, OBCDA and the F.I.R.M (Cairo, GA), Dance Fusion Studios (Tallahassee), and his home studio Art of Dance (Jacksonville) where his choreography is continuously awarded and recognized at various regional competitions year after year. Through his years of involvement in dance, as both a teacher and a student, John feels the most rewarding experiences lie within the growth and development of others. He is passionate about coaching others to reach their full potential and eager to be a leader that fosters an environment where people feel comfortable to express themselves freely. Currently, John is the choreographer of the Jacksonville Shark's Attack Dance team and works with various studios, high schools, colleges, and professional dance teams across the southeast, pouring his passion and education into every student he teaches. John started DJ in the covid era, which grew from a hobby to a passion and has had the pleasure of DJ for artists like Dalan Brown, Timothy Leon and more. Currently, John, currently based out of Jacksonville, FL, offers DJ and entertainment services to those looking to take their event to the next level.
